Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

We are a full week in to 2021 and it is not what any of us expected. It is as if we were all expecting all of the 2020 ‘stuff’ to just disappear overnight and for our politicians to wake up on the 1st and smell the bloomin’ coffee. Sadly that didn’t happen but I still have hope (sort of).

Enough about that! I have been reflecting on 2020 and looking back at my blogs and photos etc and I have decided to put a lot more time and effort into my blog this year considering it is nearly ‘BeingMarthaB’s’ 1st birthday! Isn’t that crazy?!!

My notes on my phone are full with monthly plans of topics to write about. Upping my writing game is one of my main goals this year which could be tricky alongside school work but I’m up for the challenge.

Daily Routine

On Monday, I am beginning online learning once again which I am trying not to think about too much as it makes me quite depressed. This time round I want to be more organised. My plan is to get into a routine. School is continuing with a full time table of lessons with registration beginning at 8:50 meaning I plan to get up at 7:30 – I can almost hear my family laughing.

My 3 mile walk yesterday with a view of the Lomond Hills!

During online learning I want to try and keep myself motivated which is incredibly difficult without the social interaction but I’ll give it a go. My sister and I are going to take turns each day to make lunch which will provide a welcome distraction and break. We are both also going to make sure we get out for daily exercise as we will need the fresh air.

The whole family are signed up and currently taking part in the Doddie Gump challenge for Team North and Mids which means we are tracking miles every day to help our team win. This should help us get out the house!

2021

Throughout 2021 I will still be focusing on ‘sustainability’ which comes in many different forms. The next blog will explain all about my ‘sustainability’ plans so stay tuned!.

As most of you know I am a keen hockey player as well as netball and tennis. All 3 of those sports need me to maintain a level of fitness throughout.

I will be working on upping my stamina and strength by doing more runs, especially into the spring and summer months. Plus I will do extra things such as walks, cycling, yoga and strength and conditioning.

My 3 ‘S’s’ For The Year

  • Strength
  • Stamina
  • Sustainability

Those are personal goals that I have set but I also have some goals I have set for my blog!

Blog Goals

  • Staying active on the socials
  • Experiment with other tools (such as reels and IGTV videos)
  • Take more photos/videos
  • Involve you more!

These are just a few of the ideas I have. I will be putting some things up on Instagram and Facebook so you can comment how you would like to be more involved. Also I would be great if you could let me know what you would like to see from me this year! So please click the links and follow 😉 .

We have arrived at the end of blog no. 1 for 2021. As you have probably realised this was just a short intro to my plans/goals for the up coming year. A short piece to say “Happy New Year”.

Please remember that is is ok if you did not have any resolutions or goals going into the New Year. It is most definitely not a necessity to have them. Also remember that it is ok not to start your resolutions from day 1. I most certainly haven’t. Just begin whenever you feel comfortable and feel most ready! Completely up to you whatever you choose!

Thank you for all of your support and look out for the next blog!
